Good Morning Everyone,
We hope that you are all well and staying safe.
With our home learning set to continue, we are wanting to put out a Maths challenge to each year group, using our TTRockstars resource.
On looking at our current position, we were alarmed to find that we are currently in 9th place, behind Dilkes Academy, Harris Academy Riverside, Deneholm Primary, Stifford Clays Primary, Little Thurrock Primary, Quarry Hill, Shaw Primary and Tudor Court Primary.
We need to address this pupils of Warren Primary!
We need to work collectively to build our speed, so that we can beat the 3.34 mean score which is, currently, the highest score at the moment.
(Mean Score - this is calculated by using the number of questions and how quickly they are correctly answered by all pupils in the school. Not how nasty the score is! lol)
We cannot do this alone. You need to work collectively.
To enable you to build your skills, in answering questions more quickly and correctly, we are going to have inter-class Battles! This is to generate some healthy competition, whilst getting used to challenge, before we look at challenging other schools.
Battles have been set for all classes as follows;
Tuesday 21st April – 6K vs 6W and 5R vs 5L 10:30am – 11:30am
Wednesday 22nd April – 4E vs 4F and 3S vs 3F 10:30am – 11:30am
Thursday 23rd April - 2D vs 2K and 1G vs 1E 10:30am – 11:30am
Pupils will need to log on to their TTRockstars account and go to the battles page. You only have between 10:30am to 11:30am to take part in your class Battle.
We will be monitoring this, and you should be able to see the results in the ‘Battles’ section of the TTRockstars webstite.
We will announce the winning classes and set the following weeks ‘Battle’ challenge date, each week. So keep your eyes peeled.
Good Luck, have fun! Don’t forget you can always practise TTRockstars at any time. Can you beat the all-time best score, at the moment, of 1.47 belonging to Mr Tobi Ogunsona of 4F. Good job Tobi, I think a stamper is well deserved.
