On Thursday, 24th March, children in Year 5 were invited to attend a virtual Modeshift Award Ceremony. We were nominated by Thurrock Council for all our hard work towards our school’s travel plan. We have promoted and supported many outside opportunities such as: World Car Free Day, Living Streets WOW poster design, Twilight Trail for Year 3, Science investigations on the importance of wearing a seatbelt: there are too many to list. As a school community, together we are amazing! It does not matter what we throw at you, so many of you support these incentives which is why we have won, Local Authority Primary School of the Year 2021/2022.
Our Junior Road Safety Officers, Lola Adewuyi, Ayaan Khan, Luke Webster and Ema Miliauskaite have worked tirelessly all year with promoting competitions, road side duty, delivering assemblies on Be Bright, Be Seen and also giving up their time to help out at Twilight Trail. We could not be any prouder; all of you have been simply brilliant and we thank you for all your hard work in helping us to gain this prestigious award.
What better way to finish the term, with being the best school in Thurrock for our school’s travel Plan! Mrs Girt
