19th May 2020
Dear parent(s) and carer(s),
Last night the governing body of Warren Primary School agreed that the INSET day planned for this Friday 22nd May would be cancelled and that childcare provision for vulnerable children and the children of key workers would continue, but that the 1st June would remain as an INSET Day.
This means that children due to return to school from the 1st June under the government’s plans will return on the 2nd June.
Next week is half-term and the school will be closed to all children except those of critical workers; this arrangement will also apply to the INSET Day on the 1st June.
If you are a critical worker and wish to access childcare over half-term or on the INSET Day on the 1st June then I would ask that you speak to Miss Hollas in Weavers. This provision will be on a paid for basis.
This week I will be writing to you in detail setting out the school’s plans for a phased re-opening beginning on the 2nd June. In the meantime could you please let the school know if:
You are a parent or carer of a child in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 or Year 6
You are a critical worker
Your child is classed as vulnerable (has a social worker or an EHCP)
and confirm whether or not you will be sending your child back to school from the 2nd June to assist us with planning.
