Important documents have been sent out via Parentmail concerning the proposal for Warren Primary School to convert to academy status and join the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust. This is something that the governing body of the school have been considering for some time and we would like to hear your views on the proposal. The formal consultation period will run for two weeks from the 24th of February until the 9th of March.
During the consultation period you can make your views known in several ways:
1) By attending one of our consultation meetings on the 27th February and the 3rd March both at 6pm in the Big Hall. As it's parents'/carers' evening on the 27th, we will be inviting parents and carers into the Big Hall for refreshments from 5 pm. During these meetings you will have the opportunity to hear the rationale behind our proposals and to ask questions.
2) By filling in and returning the questionnaire, a copy of which will be available on the school's website, with hard copies available at the school office.
3) By e-mailing the school using the school's admin e-mail address.
4) As not all parents or carers will be able to make the consultation meetings, I will be holding some drop-in sessions when people can come and speak to me directly and I will let you know when these will happen after half-term.
What I would like to emphasise is that if the school does decide to convert to academy status and join the Osborne Co-operative Academy Trust then the school will still operate in a very similar way, but will have access to a range of additional benefits and partnerships.
