The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Summer Fayre

At Warren Primary School we are lucky to have a dedicated group of parents who run our PTFA. On Sunday the 22nd of May we had our very first whole school event since the ending of COVID restrictions. The PTFA organised a summer fayre to celebrate the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee.

Our school looked amazing with the grounds strewn with brightly coloured bunting and red, white and blue balloons. The school field was choc full of inflatables, rides, games and stall holders; most of whom were from the local community. We were lucky enough to have officers from Grays fire station in attendance with one of their engines.

Pupils from the school created a truly eye catching art gallery which contained a selection of really colourful representations of our Queen.

The smell of barbequing food wafted up from the playground where the food and drink vendors were located along with a little something for the grown-ups in the shape of a wonderful little bar: “Betty’s Bubbles”. The weather was kind and the whole community came together with staff and parents to celebrate and have fun.

We managed to raise £3,100!

Thank you to all of you who attended or donated

SATs Breakfast

We want to say a big thank you to Warburtons UK for donating bakery items towards the Year 6 SATs breakfast. This donation supplemented the rest of the items provided by parent Carly Butcher. We hope the Year 6 students enjoyed getting together to have breakfast before their SATs.

Cash for clothes collection

A big thank you to everyone who dropped off clothes for our cash for clothes collection. Our clothes mountain weighed a whopping 701kg!! We expect this to turn into approximately £280 when this is verified by the clothing company!
