Thank you to those who purchased donuts from us - we will look at booking in another Krispy Kreme fundraiser in the next term.
Huge thanks to everyone who supported our Christmas Fayre! We had a fun filled afternoon with lots of games to play and prizes to be won, Santa was visited by lots of families in his Grotto, and Kushi cooked up some delicious biryanis for us to sell.
We would like to say a big ‘Thank You’ to Kushi for, not only cooking the biryanis for us to sell, but for also donating £100 cash for the first prize in our raffle. Also, to Kempsters Estate agents for donating £250 and advertising the Fayre with their boards!
All proceeds from the afternoon have been put together with previously raised funds and will be used to replace the Audio Visual equipment in the main hall.
Thank you to everyone who purchased raffle tickets at all of last week’s Christmas performances, all proceeds will be put towards our next projects.
Spare Change Challenge
The Spare Change Challenge has now finished, thank you to everyone who took part! The final results will be published in January, and a prize awarded to the winning class.
AGM, Tuesday 19th November 2019
Our AGM was held on 19th November. Minutes and the chair’s report have been sent out on Parentmail. Please note that Katie Bridge, Katherine Knight and Helen Warwicker were voted in as Chair, Treasurer and Secretary (respectively) once again. We would like to notify all parents that this will be the final year that we will take on these roles and should interested parties not come forward at the next AGM the PTFA will be forced to fold.
We would like to thank everyone who helped with our annual Summer Fayre and, of course, everyone who attended!
Arriving at school at 8am to a completely empty field, knowing that 35 tables will be delivered in an hour (and will need to be put up and moved into place ), the container needs emptying of the games and prizes before you can even get to the gazebos (which, of course, also need to be put together and moved into place), games need to be set up, prizes allocated, tombola’s laid out and ticketed, signs need to be put up and toilets checked, can really be quite daunting! Especially in heat that started at 23 degrees! But with the help of staff, parents and families (please remember that we are all volunteers - no one gets paid!), we managed to get everything set up and ready for the 1pm opening time!
With the temperature rising to 32 degrees, and a distinct smell of sun cream in the air, we tried our very best to keep cool and make sure all volunteers had plenty of water to get through the afternoon.
Huge thanks to Mrs Kelly and the school choir for singing beautifully, to Mrs Girt and the cheerleaders for their brilliant performance, and to AA Dance for joining us again and performing in our arena.
As ever, the afternoon seemed to go quickly, and it was soon time for the raffle to be drawn and winners to be announced! We would like to say a special ‘thank you’ to Kushi for donating £100 cash again for our first prize in the raffle.
Due to the heat, the packing away seemed really tough this year! Huge thanks to those who stayed after the Fayre had ended, to help pack away prizes, put down gazebos and tables and pack the container and shed! We even had one family help who are not from Warren - that’s true community spirit!
Overall, the Fayre was a huge success and we managed to raise just over £2100, which will go towards the installation of the final 2 interactive whiteboards.
Thank you so very much to everyone who supported our Christmas Fayre on Saturday. To everyone who helped set up, bake a cake, run a stall and pack away afterwards - we couldn't have done it without you! Special thanks to Mrs Girt and the Sports Leaders for helping us raise money, and to Ms Green and the School Council for joining us with some fun games.
We would like to thank Kempsters Estate agents for helping to advertise the Fayre, and also for sponsoring the Lucky Programme Prize Draw. The winning programme was number 278 - if you have that programme (number in the top right hand corner) please bring it to the school office to collect your prize!
We would also like to say a huge 'Thank You' to Kushi for providing the 1st prize for our raffle, as well as cooking the delicious Biryani's and donating 100% of the proceeds to the PTFA!
We are pleased to announce that, with everyone's support, we raised a fantastic £3300! This, along with the £4000 we were awarded from the Tesco Bags for Help scheme, means that we have now reached our £19000 target for the playground equipment!
Cash for Clothes
Thank you to everyone who donated items for our Cash for Clothes collection. Your donations helped to raise £388!
We are extremely pleased to announce that our project came first, and we have been awarded £4000 from the recent Bags of Help Scheme! Thank you to everyone who used their tokens to vote for us.
